What is Covered Under Warranty?

i. KIWO will facilitate repair or replacement of products at its cost if any manufacturing defects in any of the products as enumerated below within the specified warranty periods following the date of delivery/installation. This certificate of warranty covers the following products:

1. Panels made of 18 mm BWP Plywood – 7 (seven) years as per industry standard
2. Shutters of all finishes and all materials – 7 (seven) years as per industry standard
3. Accessories, hardware and appliances as per the manufacturer’s warranty

ii. Terms of Warranty:

1. KIWO warrants to you that all products will be free from any manufacturing defect and defect in installation workmanship
2. The warranty is only applicable if the products are well maintained, and used for normal domestic use
3. In case of transfer/sale of the apartment to another party, the warranty will not be applicable
4. Hardware, Accessories and appliances warranty period will be the same as offered by the original equipment manufacturer
5. If you notice any defect within the respective warranty period (as per annexure 2 A & B), you must notify KIWO in writing within a period of 7 (seven) days therefrom and, upon confirmation of the defect by an authorized KIWO representative, KIWO’s sole responsibility shall be, as its option to either:
   1. Arrange for repair of defective product; or
   2. Arrange a replacement of defective product
6. If KIWO chooses to replace a product proved to be defective, KIWO shall, depending on availability, provide a replacement that is as close as possible in dimension, function and colour to the defective product. KIWO will not guarantee that the replacement will be exactly the same in all aspects when compared to the product being replaced
7. If a product is found defective, KIWO shall provide a suitable replacement that is as close as possible in dimension, function and colour to the defective product. KIWO will not guarantee that the replacement will be exactly the same in all aspects when compared to the product being replaced
8. If any person other than KIWO’s authorized representative installs, repairs or alters the products without the prior consent of KIWO, this warranty is null and void

iii.   Warranty Disclaimer:

1. Warranty certificate sets forth KIWO’s sole warranty obligation with respect to the products and is in lieu of all other warranties oral or written, expressed or implied. KIWO makes no warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose with respect to the products and KIWO shall not be liable for incidental, special consequential or other similar damages arising out of any breach of the warranty
2. KIWO’s warranty does not cover damages to products caused by any of the following:
   1. Wear and tear suffered through normal use (including scratches, dents and cuts) or damage caused by impacts or accidents
   2. Rusting of channels, hinges and other metallic parts. These could be damaged due to household chemicals and sprays and hence care to be taken while using such products around hardware and accessories
   3. Water leakage and seepage within the building structure and continuous dampness of the surface beyond:
      1. 72 hours for BWP grade plywood (IS710)
      2. 48 hours for BWP grade plywood (IS303)
      1. Degradation, discoloration, damage, fading etc., in colour grain, or texture of natural wood materials, laminates and other covering materials due to exposure to intensive or excessive light, sunlight, moisture or heat or other environmental factors
      2. Use of inappropriate chemicals, detergents, abrasives or other inappropriate cleaning agents that can damage the wooden surface of the products or rust accessories
      3. Mistreatment, negligent use, misuse, insufficient or improper care (including but not limited to exposure to harsh weather conditions)
      4. Alterations modifications or use of products which is beyond or inconsistent with supplied product instructions and/or not been authorized by KIWO
      5. Damage or stains due to water leakage and / or seepage; or
      6. Damage caused by any force majeure event (such as flooding, hurricane, earthquake, lightning, etc.) environmental condition (such as air pollution, solvent exposure, mold, mildew etc.), or staining from foreign substances (such as dirt, grease, oils, sprays etc.,)

iv.  KIWO’s warranty period will reduce according to the following scale:

1. In the first 12 (twelve) months after the date of delivery/installation – 80% (eighty percent) of replacement cost; and
2. From month 13 (thirteen) to month 60 (sixty) after the date of delivery/installation – 80 (eighty percent) of replacement cost

v.  The products installed by KIWO should not be removed, as removal of goods will cause damage to the installed products. Failure to adhere to this condition shall void the warranty provided by KIWO and KIWO shall not be responsible for any such damage

vi.  KIWO specifically disclaims all warranties and indemnities, express, implied or statutory, including without limitation, any warranty of arising from the course of performance of course of dealing
